Amy and Jeff were absolutely incredible hosts and made our wedding weekend unforgettable. We rented the whole house, and they went above and beyond — providing breakfast and lunch for our wedding party, helping us store decorations, and being flexible with every detail. They even encouraged our (respectful) after-party and genuinely seemed happy to be part of such a joyful time in our lives. The home was beautiful, the beds were super comfortable, and the whole atmosphere felt welcoming and full of good energy. Amy and Jeff are wonderful people who truly care about their guests. Grace and I already plan to return for our anniversaries — we couldn’t recommend this place more highly!

We came to Kalamazoo to see a concert and decided to try our first B&B. We were pleasantly surprised by the scale of the house, every room was very large. The house is kept in pristine condition and we really appreciated the architectural details on the property. Our room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast is not to be missed. We did skip the first morning because we had such a late night at the concert but ate every other morning we were there. They have a sweet and savory option available along with an evening cookie that was delicious. The owners were very hospitable, but there was no pressure to interact/participate in conversation, which is perfect for a couple of introverts like us. Overall we would absolutely stay here again.

I recently spent two nights here at the Kalamazoo House Bed and Breakfast. The owners are extremely kind, personable, generous and hospitable. You can tell they are proud of their business and love to ensure their customers needs are met. I arrived quite late, but the instructions on how to access the room were given well in advance and there were no issues. Fresh homemade cookies were waiting for me in the room, the towels were fresh, bed sheets and pillows were soft and nice. Lots of little details, ie mints left for you, hot drinks and community business information was available on all the floors. The entire place was clean and well cared for. There are lots of stairs, and in most places there are hand rails. The house has lots of character and quite cool to see all the details ie large doors, old fire places and vintage chandeliers. There are lots of little places to put up your feet to relax, read a book, have a drink or play a game. The breakfast was great, I had the quiche with bacon, sausage, And yogurt with granola. I left quite early in the morning and the owner kindly packed me a to go breakfast that was waiting for me with my name on it by the exit door, I enjoyed this on my drive back to the airport. The owners were very accommodating providing extra bath towels, lowering the bath tub products mounted on the wall so it was in reaching distance for me. As well as offering to bring my breakfast upstairs to eat in my room, so I didn’t have to go down the stairs more than I had to. This was a quiet place and I felt quite at home and relaxed. This is a great alternative to a hotel if you’re looking for a unique, warm, hospitable, and memorable stay.

This was such a wonderful experience. From walking in and being greeted in such a warm and friendly manner, through lovely breakfasts, snacks and cookies, relaxing in the large hot tub and on the extremely comfortable bed with the fireplace and huge TV, it was an incredible time and we will be back. We also opted for the popcorn, massage and wine mixing experience and they were all so amazing. Definitely recommend everything!! Thank you all for the perfect escape

The building itself is old and beautiful, with just the right amount of new thrown in to make it an absolute pleasure to stay here. The room was very clean and the bed was fantastic. The real treat of this place though is the staff. The breakfast they provide is top notch. The menu varies but I hope they are serving the cherry French toast bake when you go cause wow! The room we stayed in had a jet tub and it is very nice after a long day of exploring the rather neat town of Kalamazoo. Highly recommend.

A wonderful and charming bed-and-breakfast in downtown Kalamazoo. They have a number of unique add on services, including in-house massage, gift packages, and in room breakfast. This made it easy to treat ourselves during our weekend away. It was a short vacation getaway during a cold winter and we greatly enjoyed the large soaking tub. Would absolutely recommend to anyone staying in the area! Breakfast was delicious on both days and the ambience of the location was great for a romantic getaway. Our host was always easy to reach via text and it is clear that the owners put a lot of care and love into this place.

This was our 2nd stay at the Kalamazoo House and it did not disappoint! The house and hosts are so inviting. The spaces are clean, with excellent attention to details. Breakfast and cookies in our room were delicious. The location was perfect to do a little shopping and dining. We look forward to coming again soon!
